Description

The Russian Space Agency (Roscosmos) is an Earth Observation constellation developed around the Pixel-VR small satellite. The Pixel-VR spacecraft is based upon the Lavochkin Karat-200 platform and offers an optical resolution of 50 centimeters. The satellites will be placed into Sun Synchronous Orbits (SSO) at an altitude between 500 and 700 kilometers. The Pixel-VR dimensions are 1x1x1.9 meters. The Avtograf constellation will consist of 72 satellites covering an area of 240,000 square kilometers per day. The first satellite is expected to be placed into orbit by 2026.
