Description

The General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI) Mojave is a reconnaissance and strike drone developed for operations from unprepared runways. The Mojave features technologies from the MQ-9 Reaper and the MQ-1C Gray Eagle-ER unmanned aircraft. The Mojave focuses on short take-off and landing (STOL) as well as carrying more firepower with up to 16 AGM-114 Hellfire missiles. The aircraft could evolve to operate from aircraft carriers. The Mojave unmanned aircraft system first flew in the summer of 2021 and was unveiled on December 9, 2021. The aircraft would be ready for fielding in 2023 or later.
