Hafeet Emirate 6x6 Armored Personnel Carrier (APC)
Hafeet

The Hafeet is a family of 6 x 6 armored vehicles developed by Nimr Automotive in the United Arab Emirates to meet a variety of military requirements. The vehicles have a capacity of 28,660 lb (13,000 kg) and can perform missions from utility and transport to armored patrol, according to the manufacturer. Each variant uses the same 6 x 6 chassis to minimize logistics, training and spare-parts management. All Hafeet vehicles can be fitted with armor. The base platform is powered by six-cylinder, in-line diesel engine producing 300 hp. A more powerful 360-hp engine is available as an option. A fully automatic power shift transmission is connected to a two-speed dropbox and provides drive to the vehicle's fully independent double-wishbone portal axles with coil springs and hydraulic dampers. The suspension provides high ground clearance and, coupled with full differential locking and a central tire-inflation system, ensures excellent tactical mobility. The Hafeet is equipped with a generic vehicle compliant electronic architecture that supports intelligent power management; battlefield management systems; and capacity for integration with a variety of communication, battlefield and weapon systems. The vehicle can be fully integrated with a customer's preferred command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance (C4ISTAR) systems and advanced weapon systems. Standard equipment includes a power-management system; run-flat tires; central tire-inflation system; and a winch. The Hafeet is powered by a Cummins ISBe 360 6.7-liter diesel engine developing from 286 to 360 hp coupled to an Allison 3200SP six-speed automatic transmission. All variants are equipped with air over hydraulic actuated disc brakes and hydraulic power-assisted steering. Option systems include various levels of ballistic (NATO Standard Agreement Level 1 to Level 4) and blast (Level 1 to Level 3a/b) protection; infrared-signature management; rocket-propelled grenade protection system; and nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) warfare protection. A variety of camera systems can be equipped, including day and night cameras; a situational awareness system; and a display monitor. A GPS and/or inertial navigation system may also be fitted. A range of armament can be fitted, including 5.56-mm and 7.62-mm machine guns; 12.7-mm heavy machine guns; 40-mm automatic grenade launcher; and 20-mm to 30-mm cannons.
