Jabbar 250 Egyptian Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)
Jabbar 250

The Jabbar 250 Egyptian Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is a high-speed target drone developed by the Egyptian defense contractor Tornex. It was unveiled at the Egypt Defense Expo (EDEX) 2025 in late November 2025. This drone is part of Egypt's expanding family of domestically produced unmanned aerial systems and represents a significant advancement in the country's defense-industrial capabilities. The Jabbar 250 simulates realistic aerial threats, particularly high-speed cruise missile attacks, allowing air defense systems to undergo effective engagement training. With a top speed of 576 km/h, it can mimic cruise missile threat profiles, complementing the slower threat simulations provided by other variants in the Jabbar family. The platform supports various sensor configurations and scoring systems, enabling frequent and cost-effective calibration of radar and electronic warfare systems. This capability is crucial for maintaining the operational readiness of modern air defense networks. The introduction of the Jabbar 250 highlights Egypt's evolution from a UAV operator to a UAV producer. This development not only enhances Egypt's military readiness through realistic, affordable training platforms but also expands its indigenous defense-industrial capabilities, laying the groundwork for future operational UAV variants beyond training applications.
