Description
The Vostok-3S (Cyrillic: «Восток-3С») is a 3D S-band (IEEE designation) or E/F-band (NATO designation) air defense radar designed for detecting aerial platforms, measuring their range, azimuth, altitude, and range rate. It features automatic target tracking and classification, and automatically transmits radar information to an integrated control system. The radar utilizes a phased array antenna that rotates at 6 revolutions per minute, with an electronically steered beam in elevation. This new-generation, fully Belarusian-developed system offers capabilities comparable to radars such as the American AN/FPS-117, Russian Protivnik-GE, and Ukrainian 80K6.
