Description
The NSP-5, also designated AN/DPY-2, is a multimode, low-Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) airborne radar system operating in the Ku band. It provides high-resolution Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery with a range of 24 km, coherent change detection, and ground moving target indication, offering a maximum instrumented range of 102 km suitable for tactical use. The weatherized NSP-5 pod requires only power and Ethernet for operation and can be mounted on aircraft using an IMSAR quick-connect rail with blind-mate connections or MIL-Spec 14-inch lug mounts. This system is in production for the U.S. Marine Corps' RQ-21A Blackjack UAV Program.
