Scanter 4000
The Scanter 4000 is an X-band (9,000-9,200 MHz) multi-role two-dimensional surveillance radar, featuring pulse compression and advanced Moving Target Indication (MTI) processing for enhanced detection of small air targets and large surface targets. With a peak power of 6 kW, an instrumented range of 42.5 nautical miles (approximately 64 km), and an antenna rotation speed of 12-20 revolutions per minute, it serves various applications including air traffic control near offshore wind parks, coastal surveillance, gap-filler in air defense networks, or helicopter control on Landing Platform Docks (LPD). While the Scanter 4000 is designed for stationary use, the Scanter 4100 variant, equipped with a stabilized pedestal, is deployed on moving platforms such as vessels, and is in service with the Royal Navy, French Navy, Brazilian Navy, and Royal Danish Navy on various ship types including LPDs, Offshore Patrol Vessels, and frigates.
