Dagger target acquisition and surveillance radar
The Dagger target acquisition and surveillance radar is a multi-beam, high-resolution 3D pulse Doppler radar operating in the J-band. Manufactured by Alenia Marconi Systems, it features a scan rate of 30 or 60 revolutions per minute (rpm) and an instrumented range of 32 km in range and 5 km in height, with a detection range exceeding 15 km. The system can process over 75 threats per second, incorporating clutter rejection algorithms and resistance to electronic countermeasures. It provides bearing data and threat assessment from an integrated Cossor Mark X or XII Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) system, and a high elevation guard beam automatically ceases transmissions upon detecting an anti-radiation missile.
