Description
The Aqsai (Cyrillic: «Аксай») is an X-band Airport Surface Detection Radar, operating within the 9,380 to 9,440 MHz frequency range. Its waveguide slot antenna, available in widths of 11, 18, or 21 feet, is mounted on a steel lattice tower. The system has an instrumented range of 5,000 meters with a range resolution of 15 meters, and the antenna rotates at 60 revolutions per minute. For enhanced surveillance, both a daylight camera and a night vision camera are mounted alongside the antenna.
