Description
The Canadian Patrol Submarine Project (CPSP) is a program aimed at replacing the Victoria class submarines operated by the Royal Canadian Navy. The new submarines will be powered conventionally and will operate in the Arctic waters adding extended range and other capabilities compared with the Victoria class. The new submarine program may deliver up to 12 units. The CPSP project was launched in July 2024 and the new submarines should be commissioned in the late 2030s.
