Description

The Russian Navy Paket-NK is a small-sized 330mm, close-in range, anti-submarine system intended for integration on surface ships. The system has been designed for fully automatic operation mode or integrated with the ship's submarine warfare system. The Paket-NK torpedo is able to engage submerged submarines as well as incoming torpedoes as secondary target. The system also includes smaller heat-seeking torpedoes which require target data provided by a sonar array. The Russian Navy firs test fired the Paket-NK during military exercises in the Baltic Sea in February 2015. So far, this compact anti-submarine system has been installed on Project 20380 class of stealth corvettes.
