Vanguard

The Vanguard Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) has been designed by Kongsberg to serve both civilian and military operations in a wide range of missions. The Vanguard has been designed to conduct search and rescue (SAR), harbor and assets protection, subsea survey, anti-access / area-denial (A2AD), anti-submarine warfare and mine clearance, detection and disposal missions among others. The ship features a flight deck and hangar for a single multipurpose helicopter as well as interchangeable mission modules utilizing a variety of unmanned vehicles. The architecture allows future growth incorporating new technologies and advanced sensors. The Vanguard ship design was unveiled on September 26, 2019.
