Description
The Ariane 3 received the same upper stage modification (H10) of Ariane 2 while introduced two solid propellant strap-on boosters for increases thrust. It is capable of carrying a 5,952 lb (2,700 kg) payload into Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO). The Ariane 3 program totaled 11 launches with 19 satellites carried into orbit. The first Ariane 3 was launched in 1984.
