Description

The Sky Bow I or Tian Kung is a medium range surface-to-air missile (SAM) developed by Chinese Academy of Sciences for the Taiwanese Army. The missile system combines a sophisticated fire control system with the advanced Sky Bow missile to provide enough firepower to engage multiple airborne threats. The Sky Bow I fire and forget missile with a maximum range of roughly 100 kilometers features an active radar seeker to allow the weapon system to engage several airborne targets simultaneously. It is launched utilizing a truck-mounted canister with four missile cells.
