Description
The MKV-C is a fast interceptor boat-class being build by VT Halter Marine/United States Marine for the government of Kuwait. The ship design is based on patrol boats used by the United States Navy SEALs. Kuwait Navy's high-speed MKV-C crafts are intended to perform missions against terrorism, piracy and smuggling in its territorial waters while protecting key oil facilities. These crafts are equipped with the MLG 27 weapon station which basically consists of a 27mm gun and state-of-the-art optronics. MLG 27 provides a very high kill probability. The 10.6 meters long MKV-C can achieve a top speed in excess of 40 knots.
