Description

The 9M31 is a short-range, low-altitude surface-to-air missile (SAM) utilized on the Strela-1/SA-9 Gaskin mobile air defense system against rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft. It features infrared homing seeker. 9M31M is an upgraded version with extended range out to 8 km compared with slightly more than 4 km for 9M31 missile.
