Description
The YJ-1000-1, formerly known as the YL-5, is a 1,000-kg laser-guided bomb fitted with a high-explosive penetrator and intended to take out hardened targets. The YJ-1000-1 was shown for the first time in 2018 as the YL-5 and it was displayed again in November 2022. The YJ-1000-1 bunker buster bomb is being intended for release by the JH-7AII and J-16 tactical fighters.
