Description
The People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) Type 904A, also known as Dayun class, fleet replenishment vessel is a 15,000-ton class ship intended to resupply the Chinese surface ships at sea. These ships are enlarged and improved version of the Type 904 auxiliary vessel. These ships are intended to store and carry fuel, ammunition, dry goods and other supplies to Chinese warships deployed around continental China. The PLAN commissioned the first ship in 2007 and another two vessels, called Type 904B, in 2015.
