Description
The US Navy’s Next Generation Logistics Ship (NGLS) is aimed at delivering a medium size re-supply ship for small surface combatants such as the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), frigates such as the Constellation class, and the Light Amphibious Warship (LAW). The NGLS fleet will be able to serve for re-fuelling, re-arming, and resupply of naval assets. The first NGLS ship should be commissioned before 2030.
