Description
The Ada-class corvettes are provided with an aft flight deck allowing for operation of a single S-70B-2 Seahawk helicopter. The weapon system includes a 76mm dual-purpose gun, two 12.7mm remotely controlled machine guns, eight Harpoon anti-ship missiles, a single MK31 RAM self-defense missile weapon system and Mark 46 torpedoes. The Turkish Navy commissioned the lead ship, named Heybeliada, in September 2011 with three more ships to follow. In 2017 Pakistan ordered four MILGEM Block I corvettes.
