Description

The ASN-207 Chinese MALE Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is a multipurpose military unmanned aerial vehicle developed by the Chinese company Aisheng Technology Group Co. The project of the Chinese unmanned aerial vehicle Aisheng ASN-207 was created by aircraft builders from the company "Aisheng Technology Group Co." on the basis of the Aisheng ASN-206 unmanned aerial vehicle, so the development process itself did not take much time, and the cost of the drone proved to be very acceptable. The multi-functional military unmanned aerial vehicle Aisheng ASN-207 is designed to perform tasks closely related to aerial photography and aerial photography, to carry out reconnaissance and patrol-observation flights, conduct monitoring, adjust artillery fire, etc. The Chinese multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicle Aisheng ASN-207 was designed by Chinese aircraft builders in an aircraft-type configuration, and in fact, the design of the drone is identical to the design of the Aisheng ASN-206 UAV. The Aisheng ASN-207 is not equipped with its own chassis system, which means the launch of the device is carried out by dispersing the rail guides at the expense of a solid-fuel rocket accelerator. The aircraft itself has relatively small dimensions, in particular, with a fuselage length of 3 meter 54 centimeter, its wingspan is 5 meters 48 centimeters. Variants
ASN-206 An older version of the ASN-207 with less control range, smaller payload capacity, and shorter endurance. The ASN-206 is a medium tactical unmanned aerial vehicle (TUAV) in service with the People's Liberation Army (PLA) in China. The air vehicle is used for day and night reconnaissance; battlefield surveillance; target positioning; artillery shooting adjustment; border patrol; nuclear radiation survey and sample; aerial photography; and disaster surveillance. The system consists of one air vehicle, a powerplant, and a launch-and-recovery system. Upgrades may include an electronic support measures capability for self-protection. The air vehicle is launched by a rocket and uses a parachute to land. It does not need a runway. The ASN-206 has a twin-boom layout with a high-wing configuration and twin tail. This permits the tail-mounted two-blade propeller to be out of the sightline of the sensor package. The ASN-206's electro-optical observation package is believed to be a derivative of an Israeli system. The air vehicle can be equipped with vertical and panoramic cameras; infrared sensors; television cameras; and positioning correction equipment. It is fitted with a digital control and management system, integrated radio, and advanced mission-control equipment. Some ASN-206s appear to have been fitted with a satellite communication antenna. Video can be transmitted in real-time to the ground station. The ASN-206 can also determine the position of a ground target in real-time to correct artillery firing. For electronic warfare missions, the air vehicle can be equipped with a JN-1102 electronic countermeasures suite, which can scan, intercept, analyze, monitor, and jam hostile ground-to-air communications at 20 MHz to 500 MHz. The system consists of a UAV-mounted intercept subsystem, a UAV-mounted jamming subsystem, and a ground-based intercept and jamming control subsystem. A complete system consists of six to 10 air vehicles and one ground station. The ground station comprises command vehicles, launch vehicles, power supply vehicles, intelligence-processing vehicles, maintenance, and transport vehicles.
Navalized ASN-206 The variant is designed to serves as a communication relay between a supporting surface ship and an amphibious force. It was noted in operation during the Chinese navy's first remote communication support drill with drones on July 10, 2011, at a comprehensive training range of a general communication station of the South China Sea Fleet.

Manufacturer Aisheng Technology Group Co
Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Role For intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) roles, the ASN-207 carries a stabilised multi-mission optronic payload, which has a modular design with different combinations of sensors: Monochrome and color CCD, or 3 color CCD's, or 8-12micro-metre infrared and 3-5 mm focal plane array infrared cameras, or Laser range finder and designators.
Electronic Warfare and Countermeasures (EW/ECM) role For electronic warfare and countermeasures (EW/ECM) roles, the UAV is fitted with a JN-1102 EW/ECM suite, which can scan, intercept, analyse, monitor, and jam enemy ground-to-air communications at 20~500MHz. The system consists of a UAV-mounted intercept subsystem, a UAV-mounted jamming subsystem and a ground-based intercept and jamming control subsystem.
