Description
The Simrad TX10S-1 is an X-band naval navigation radar designed for yachts and motorboats 40 feet in length and above. It operates with a peak power of 10 kW and utilizes a 6-foot slotted waveguide antenna, rotating at 27 revolutions per minute, to achieve a 1.2° beamwidth and an instrumented range of 72 nautical miles (133 km). The system employs a magnetron transmitter with keyed on/off pulse modulation and features digital radar signal processing, including 10-bit radar video sampling, rain rejection, and sensitivity time control, to enhance target clarity and reduce clutter.
