Description

The 9S32 (NATO designation: "Grill Pan") is an X-band, multi-channel missile engagement guidance radar. Operating with a peak power of 150 kW and an instrumented range of 250 km, it utilizes a transmission-type space-fed phased array antenna with a beamwidth of 0.5°. This radar is a component of the S-300V anti-ballistic missile (ABM) complex (NATO designations: SA-12A "Gladiator" and SA-12B "Giant") and is capable of simultaneously engaging up to six targets. Deliveries to the Soviet armed forces began in 1988, and a modernized version, the 9S32M, received the NATO designation "Grill Screen".
