Description

The Eurocopter AS365 N3e Dauphin is an enhanced version of the AS365 N3 medium-weight twin-engine helicopter. The AS365 N3e enhanced helicopter is powered by two Arriel 2N turboshaft engines with dual-channel Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) which will offer improved performance in hot-and-high environments. The new model also incorporates new technologies and systems such as the EC155's main gearbox, new Starflex rotor head, and the application of a reinforced main rotor mast. These upgrades provide a 15 percent increase in power for better performance, a significant payload gain, and reductions in maintenance and operating costs. Eurocopter launched the AS365 N3e and AS565 MBe helicopters at Heli-Expo 2011. Certification is anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2013, with deliveries targeted to begin in early 2014.
