Description
The Zircon-A (unofficial designation) is a smaller airborne version of the Zircon hypersonic anti-ship missile with the ability to hit ground targets as well. The Zircon-A hypersonic missile may feature a maximum range of between 500 and 1,000 kilometers (or even greater) launched from the Su-57 stealth fighter jet to conduct offensive operations. A single Su-57 fighter aircraft may be able to launch up to two Zircon-A hypersonic strike weapons. The Russian Aerospace Forces may field the new Zircon-A hypersonic missile beginning in August 2025.
