Description

The ALPER (Aselsan Low Power ECCM Radar) is a Turkish X-band naval LPI (Low Probability of Intercept) navigation radar system designed for surface target detection in all weather conditions. Manufactured by Aselsan, a company of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, it utilizes an FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) waveform. Key features include LPI capabilities, frequency hopping, low antenna sidelobe levels, and sector blanking. The radar offers selectable average power outputs (1 W, 0.1 W, 10 mW, 1 mW), an instrumented range of 36 nautical miles, and an antenna rotation speed exceeding 20 rpm, with a mean time between critical failures (MTBCF) of 10,000 hours.
