Description

The PHZ-10 is a new 122mm rocket artillery system developed as the replacement for the PHZ-89 artillery system within the People's Liberation Army (PLA). The weapon system development started in 2012 and was deployed by 2017. The PHZ-10 uses a tracked chassis very similar to the US Army M270 MLRS and carries 40 122mm rockets with a maximum range of 50 kilometers. The weapon system has been designed to provide indirect fire support to battlefront troops.
