Description

The Chinese Air Launched Ballistic Missile (ALBM) is a hypersonic cruise missile developed by China based upon the DF-15 ballistic missile. The missile is similar to the Russian Kinzhal missile and may be capable of taking out surface ships and land targets. The Chinese missile will be carried underneath the H-6N bomber belly and may feature a maximum range of 1,000-to-2,000 kilometers carrying either a conventional or nuclear warhead to hit land and sea targets. The new ALBM missile is expected to enter service in the early 2020s.
