Description

The Thales Sea Fire is a new family of S-band, software-controlled 3D multifunction naval radars designed for ship self-defense and extended air defense missions. It features four fixed active electronically scanned array (AESA) antenna panels, providing 360-degree coverage and the ability to simultaneously track 800 targets at ranges up to 500 kilometers in the air and 80 kilometers on the surface. The Sea Fire performs target detection, identification, tracking, and missile fire control and guidance. This modular system is available in multiple versions with various antenna sizes and scalable active phased arrays, allowing for flexible placement of its independent panels and instrumented ranges between 300 and 500 kilometers, depending on the configuration of 6 to 28 antenna element groups.
