Description

The Baltica B («Балтика-Б») is a pseudo-coherent naval coastal surveillance radar operating in the Ka band (33.4 to 34.2 GHz) with high resolution. Its transmitter utilizes a magnetron, delivering a peak power of 8 to 10 kW. The system offers two antenna versions: a 1.5-meter antenna with a 20° vertical beamwidth, and a 2.5-meter antenna with a 7° vertical beamwidth, both producing a fan beam pattern. Key specifications include a pulse repetition frequency of 3,000 or 3,500 Hz, pulsewidths of 0.05 or 0.2 µs, an instrumented range of 24 nautical miles (45 km), and a range resolution of 12 meters. The antenna rotates at 10 to 20 revolutions per minute, with beamwidths of 0.23° or 0.45°.
