The Caracal is a guided anti-tank weapon system developed by Tekhnosoyuzproyekt of Belarus and intended to engage both armored targets equipped with explosive reactive armor (ERA), helicopters flying at low altitude and small fortifications. The Caracal launcher equipped with four ready to fire missiles and the sight system is deployed mounted on 4x4 tactical vehicle which carries eight additional missiles to be reloaded automatically without human intervention. There is also a man-portable version with a single missile launch tube. Both versions can be operated remotely from a distance of 50 meters. Each missile can engage targets at ranges between 100 meters and 5 kilometers penetrating reinforced armor of up to 800mm thick. The guidance system consists of laser beam with automatic target alignment or manual target alignment allowing the operator to engage moving targets or alternative targets. The Caracal weapon system was unveiled during MILEX 2011 exhibition May 2011 in Minsk. Its first buyer is an undisclosed Eastern country.
