Description

The BAE Systems Global Tactical Vehicle (GTV) is a member of the FMTV family and is powered by an Euro V emission regulation compliant diesel engine. The GTV maximizes tactical mobility and operational capability while meeting stringent emission control regulations. It also features the Long Term Armor Solution (LTAS) which allows to switch from truck to highly protected tactical armored vehicle without compromising load capability, mission certainty or weight-related safety. The GTV features the Mine Blast Resistant Seat (MBRS) and 4-point restraint system, which is easily modified to accept a 5-point restraint. The MBRS is lightweight and integrates the energy absorbing system into the seat itself. The vehicle platform is designed to incorporate modifications according to customer specifications. It was showcased for the first time at DSEi exhibition in London in September 2009.
