Description
A-4 Skyhawk is a light, single-engine, single-seater attack aircraft developed by McDonnell Douglas, now Boeing, to meet the requirements of the US Marine Corps. It is suitable for operation on aircraft carriers. With near 3,000 aircraft produced from the early 1960s through the 1980s, there are many variants of A-4 aircraft which may differ on equipment such as engine (J52/J65/F404-GE-100D) or radar system (APG-53/APG-66). TA-4 is a two-seat trainer based on A-4 aircraft. A-4M was an outstanding improved model introduced in the 1970s and the A-4AR is an improved variant of A-4M sold to Argentina.
