Description
The Bushmaster Multi Role 6 (MR6) is a new variant of the Bushmaster tactical vehicle intended to deal with the emerging threats in the battlefield and introduced in January 2018. The MR6 variant offers highest levels of survivability thanks to improved protection, mobility and increased internal space. Besides, the vehicle is well suited for network centric operations. As of January 2018, the Bushmaster MR6 was already undergoing trials by Thales Australia with an entry into service planned for 2019-2020. Australia placed an order for 78 Bushmaster tactical vehicles under a $160 million contract in May 2023.
