YLC-16 S

The YLC-16 S “Transformer” is a mid-range 3D multifunctional surveillance radar operating in the S-band (IEEE designation) or E/F-band (NATO designation), with an instrumented range of 180 km. Its capabilities include surveillance of artillery positions, air defense, and air traffic management. Featuring a modular design and an active phased array system, the radar supports unmanned operation through remote control via fiber optics, microwaves, and satellites. The YLC-16 S was first unveiled in November 2022 at the 14th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Zhuhai Airshow).
