Description
The AMPV American Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) is the replacement for the M113 Family of Vehicles (FoV) within the Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT), comprising approximately 30% of its tracked vehicle fleet. The General Purpose variant accommodates two crew and six passengers, and it is reconfigurable to carry one litter and mounted crew-served weapon.

M1284 Medical Evacuation Vehicle

M1286 Mission Command
The Mission Command variant is the cornerstone of the Army’s ABCT Network Modernization Strategy. It takes advantage of increased size, weight, power, and cooling limitations and provides a significant increase in Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance capability. The variant accommodates a driver, commander, and three workstation operators, and its red side network provides full Tactical Command Post capabilities at brigade and battalion levels.
M1287 Mortar Carrier Vehicle
The Mortar Carrier variant accommodates two crew, two mortar crew, a mounted 120 mm mortar, 69 rounds of 120 mm ammunition, and M95 Mortar Fire Control System.

Armor
The all-welded aluminium hull integrates enhanced underbody protection for increased survivability. Explosive reactive armour sheets fitted in front and either side of the hull offer protection against grenade launchers and guided ammunition.
