Description
The SpainSat NG is a communications satellite constellation consisting of two spacecraft to be launched within 2025. The SpainSat NG is expected to provide secure communications for the Spanish Armed Forces, NATO and European organizations. The spacecraft are placed onto geostationary orbits operating in the X-band, military Ka-band and UHF providing a coverage of two thirds of the Earth’s surface. The SpainSat NG satellites are expected to remain in orbit for 15 years. The first satellite was launched by a Falcon 9 rocket on January 30, 2025.
