The 3K60 Bal (SSC-6 Sennight) Russian Coastal Defense System is a modern coastal defense system of Russian origin. It was developed in the 1990's as a possible replacement for the 4K51 Rubezh system and for export sales.

Basic Load Each launch vehicles carry up to 8 x Kh-35 missiles and feature a smaller shelter. The trans loaders carry up to 8 missiles and are fitted with a crane. All 16 missiles may be fired in a single volley against multiple targets in order to saturate the target's air defense.

Operation The radar system provides detection and tracking of surface targets by active radar while delivering target information for other assets in support of anti-ship missiles guidance. Using the passive radar mode, the Monolit-B can detect targets over-the-horizon such as surface ships.
IFF The radar system also includes Identification Friend-or-Foe (IFF) capabilities as well as network warfare capabilities providing secure target data to other assets such as coastal defense missile systems utilizing Data Exchange and Oriental Radar (DEORdr).
