Description
The VT-4, also known as MBT3000, is a heavy main battle tank being developed by China for the People's Liberation Army (PLA) and export customers. The armament options include a 125mm smoothbore gun, a roof-mounted remotely controlled 12.7mm anti-aircraft gun and a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun. The 52 tons class tank is powered by a diesel engine developing 1,300-hp and a top speed of 68 kilometers per hour. The first photos of the VT-4 heavy tank in the test ground were released in September 2014. Pakistan may become the first export customer under the Al Hyder designation.
