Description

The Russian Army Izdelie 2-F66-1 is resupply and re-loading vehicle designed for the MSTA-S self-propelled howitzer (SPH) family. The vehicle was developed by Burevestnik Central Research and Development Institute based upon the Kamaz 6560 8x8 truck system. The 2-F66-1 is equipped with a special manipulator arm to supply projectiles and charges to MSTA-S howitzers without involvement of the crew. Each vehicle carries 92 artillery shells using a revolver type reloading system. A 2-F66-1 reloading vehicle can supply 50 shells to a howitzer in a matter of few minutes. Deliveries to the Russian Armed Forces along with the newest MSTA-SV SPH are expected to begin in 2017. It is expected that each artillery division will be equipped with at least one 2-F66-1 resupply vehicle.
