Description

The Flamingo is a long-range, subsonic cruise missile developed by Ukraine to hit targets deep inside Russian territory. The Flamingo seems to be a version of the FP-5 cruise missile developed by the United Kingdom. The Flamingo has a launch weight of 6,000 kilograms and can be launched from the ground or a surface ship. The jet-powered missile has maximum speed of 900 kilometers per hour and a flight altitude of 5,000 meters carrying a 1,000- or 1,500-kilogram warhead. The new missile navigation system is resistant to jamming. The 3,000 kilometers range Flamingo cruise missile is expected to enter service in August 2025.
