Description
The 9M82MDE heavy interceptor missile was designed to engage tactical ballistic missiles. The new missile is an evolution of the 9M82ME interceptor used by the S-300VM and S-300V4 air defense systems. The 9M82MDE interceptor can engage targets flying at speed of up to 4,000 meters per second (Mach 11+) at altitudes between 2 and 32 kilometers and distances of 12 to 340 kilometers. Each target requires two 9M82MDE interceptors to maximize the probability of destruction.
