Description
The H-4 Stand-Off Weapon (SOW) is a precision-guided glide bomb developed and manufactured by Pakistan to hit targets as far away as 120 kilometers. The weapon uses a solid rocket booster after the launch and might be recovered with some sort of stealth coating to avoid or delay detection by radar systems. The H-4 bomb entered service around 2003 and has since being employed in several occasions. The bomb's terminal guidance relies on infrared imaging (IIR) and it is said that is somehow a copy of the Raptor II standoff weapon from South Africa Denel. The H-4 has been fielded along the JF-17 fighter aircraft developed jointly between Pakistan and China.
