RPS-42
The RPS-42 is an S-band ground surveillance radar, part of the Multi-mission Hemispheric Radar (MHR) family developed by RADA Electronic Industries Ltd. This non-rotating, solid-state, digital, and software-defined pulse-Doppler radar utilizes an active electronically scanned array (AESA) antenna, measuring 50.4 cm in diameter and 16.5 cm in width, based on Gallium Nitride (GaN) amplifiers. It can detect, classify, and track various aerial vehicles, including fighters, helicopters, UAVs, and transport aircraft, at tactical ranges up to 50 km, with a detection range of 3.5 km for nano-UAVs. A single RPS-42 provides 90° azimuth coverage, achieving hemispheric coverage when four units are integrated into a system, and supports on-the-move operation, with an average power of 350 W.
