Description

The ATMACA is a subsonic, low altitude, long-range anti-ship missile developed by Roketsan to meet the requirements of the Turkish Navy. The high precision missile can be launched whether from surface ships, submarines and land platforms. The ATMACA missile features Inertial Navigation System (INS), GPS satellite positioning and radar altimeter to support mid-course navigation. The sea-skimming missile is fitted with an active radar seeker for terminal guidance and has a maximum range of 222 kilometers. The ATMACA missile is expected to enter service in the early 2020s. The ATMACA missile is fitted with a data-link allowing aborting the mission and/or re-targeting the weapon while the missile is already in-flight. Besides, the missile is able to take out both surface ships and targets onshore using a 250-kg high explosive, blast fragmentation, penetrating warhead.
