Description

The Uragan 1-M is an upgraded variant of the BM-27 Uragan 220mm rocket system introduced by the former Soviet Union in the late 1970s. The modernized Uragan rockets may feature a more accurate GLONASS-based (global positioning system using a satellite constellation) guidance system as well as longer range. As of late 2012 the Uragan 1-M artillery system was undergoing acceptance trials by the Russian Army.
