Description
The HERO is a family of cross-shaped loitering munitions developed and produced jointly between UVision and Rheinmetall of Italy. These munitions can be released by ground, airborne and sea platforms or dismounted infantrymen as well. They feature a maximum range from 10 to 200 kilometers depending on the variant carrying warheads from 0.5 to 50 kilograms. All models feature nose-mounted electro-optical sensors. The first order for the Hero loitering munitions was recorded in July 2022 with deliveries planned within 2023.
