Description
The Al Tariq is a long-range glide bomb designed to hit targets with an accuracy of 2 meters Circular Error Probable (CEP) at up to 120 kilometers. The Al Tariq guidance system combines the INS/GPS navigation with an Imaging Infrared (IIR) seeker for terminal guidance. The bomb also can be fitted with Semi-Active Laser (SAL) seeker. The Al Tariq modular weapon kit can be installed on Mk 81, Mk 82 or Mk 83 bombs with a maximum range between 90 and 120 kilometers. The United Arab Emirates Air Force ordered the Al Tariq glide bomb in February 2023 under a $250 million contract.
