Description

The Grob 120TP, also referred to as G 120TP, is a side-by-side twin-seat, turboprop-powered military training and aerobatic aircraft capable of typical elementary, basic and advanced pilot training flights. This cost effective platform provides high performance, full Virtual Tactical Training capability including HOTAS, combined with high dispatch reliability. It features lightweight Martin Baker Mk 17 ejection seats and the Rolls-Royce Model 250-B17F turbine engine which is more powerful than the Lycoming engine on the G 120A aircraft. The G 120TP uses a five-blade propeller instead of the three-blade propeller used on the basic G120 aircraft. In September 2011, the Indonesian Air Force became the launch customer for the G 120TP ordering 18 aircraft with deliveries due to start in 2012.
