Description
The Zadira is a high energy laser weapon system developed by Russia and deployed for the first time during the special military operation in Ukraine in May 2022. The Zadira is capable of shooting down airborne targets at ranges of up to five kilometers illuminating them for up to five seconds. The new weapon system is especially well suited to take down low-end unmanned aerial vehicles without wasting expensive surface-to-air missiles.
